Project overview
For the exhibition Cabinet of Contents at Sint-Lucas Ghent, Marijke Aeissing, Silke Geerts and I created Het Diner. Out of a shared interest in hosting parties, we hosted a diner party inside the cabinets. The cabinets were the starting point of what became a large diner table. The lenght of the cabinets created a distance between the two dining chairs. By adding a large tablecloth and scans of plates and cups, the dining table became something surreal. Questioning the different functionalities of a dining table. But also challenging the conversations and sensations that occur during diner.
